Universal Kitchen’s food program provides dinner on Friday through Sunday to veterans, the homeless, and low-income people in the Washington, DC area. We serve sandwiches, snacks, water, juice, and toiletries to the homeless population in and around the Federal City Shelter located at 2nd and D, NW, Washington, DC. We also distribute linens and clothing to individuals and families in need every month.
We also launched the Project Hunger Initiative wristband! The Project Hunger Initiative wristband is a fund raising item used to spread awareness for the Homeless Epidemic in the nation’s capital.
